Blades of Glory ;)

Yesterday was a fun outing with my partner in crime, Mimi.. Slept over at her place on Monday and decided to ditch work *well, we had applied for leave earlier ;P* and go on a spontaneous day out! It all started with Mimi waking me up for an early brisk walking around her neighbourhood.. *she lives in a very hilly area* and we managed to catch the sunrise.. T'was a lovely sight!
Sight to behold..
Waterfall...
Slightly sprained my ankle few minutes after doing some crazy shimmy shimmy dance on our way back to Mimi's.. -__-

Then in the evening, after paying our bills, we made our way to The Curve and stumbled upon the new ice skating rink. So we decided to give it a try.. *it's been ages since I went ice skating.. the first was back in 1996, on my first date with arwah Feisal... May he rest in peace*
Made new friends at the rink.. Turned out to be Mr. Bitx's juniors back in high school.. :D

With our trainer; Alan and one of Mr. Bitx's junior, Mooq
And with Bal..

Classes are available for MYR55 (30 mins) and it will be opened to the public on 2/7/2012 at MYR25 per entry. The rink is solid, unlike Sunway's, which is quite watery although it's smaller compared to the latter.
They even have a locker to keep your belongings at MYR2. Gloves are also available for you to own at a fee. Be sure to bring your own socks! There's also a cafe for you to chill *pun intended* should you decide to take a break in between.

Giving it a try after our 30 mins class

                                                          Mimi doing her thang!

PS: Gotta sleep early tonight.. cuz I'm picking up Mr. Bitx at the airport tomorrow! Woo hooo!

Traveling clears my head.. Writing keeps me sane...

It's true...

I've always felt that I am able to express myself better through writing. Simply because I have a lot to say.. (and bottled up) but either way, I do find it quite therapeutic.. ;P During Uni and high school, I used to have 2 diaries I fondly called Jordie.. Not even half way through my first diary... I 'lost' it *And I have the feeling Mom was behind this disappearance* Maybe she was curious about what a girl in an all girls high school mostly gushed about in their diary.. Heh! That and a small envelope of my crushes and ex bfs pics. *U see, those days, when guys show interest in u, they normally send a pic and a bio of themselves just so that u get to know them a lil better *Nevertheless, I love her so much because being a teenager u tend to give your parents headache *and maybe heartache* most of the time.. >_<

Second diary: Still with me, kept in a secret place. Only had about less than 10 posts in it because of time constraint and lack of privacy... & because when I write about the guys that I was in a relationship at that time, we ended up breaking up the next few months.. Go figure. :P So when I met Mr. Bitx again (now we're married for 3 wonderful years and counting) who was my then bf, I decided to just keep the pen and diary away and go with the flow.
It's weird, the fact that I've always hated being in a long distance relationship (Reminded me of a time when i broke up with one of my exes & gave him that reason.. He called Hitzfm dedicated a song to me, and when the DJs asked him why i ended it, he said because of the distance, that he's in Perak and I'm in Kedah *which is only 1 state apart*... After an awkward silence, one of the DJs actually said  "ummm.. Riigghhtt"). Geez.. I'm sorry dude.

Somehow, Mr. Bitx and I are currently a few states apart due to our jobs.. That's when all the traveling comes into place. Time, money, effort.. I took flights to save time and I hate getting a sore butt from the long journey by bus. I have to plan my money by eyeing on the best deals the airlines could offer.. And it's a big effort because you try to minimize drama & petty arguments as it's the only time you get to cherish your weekends together. What I miss most is making time to travel to other places. We were quite spontaneous (going for short trips together) and enjoy  being in different countries.. But it is true, there are lots of sacrifices and commitment that comes with marriage. It is all about setting your priorities right. Now, Alhamdulillah.. We have our own place to call home eventhough it's only a weekend home, & most importantly.. We still have each other. My sister used to say, sometimes being apart doesn't mean that it's not something good. It's just part and parcel of life to make you a stronger & insyaAllah, a better person.

I really love to travel because it rejuvenates my mind *in short, de-clutter.. heh!*.. feel like a whole different person with a positive mindset in life.. So right now, I'll keep focusing on being a great wife to Mr. Bitx & plan more trips together with my family and gal pals because all that surely means nothing if you can't share it with the people you love. ;)
